Anti-Anti is a multimedia supported pervasive game that was created by secondary school students of the Sint-Lievenscollege Gent (Belgium) to sensitise students for a national day against useless violence. Students participating in this 50 minute game had to search a fictitious murderer in their school through clues provided in mp3-files and video clips.
Patient Safety - Mildred's Story is a film based on real life experiences that follows elderly patient Mildred from suffering a stroke, through a number of experiences in hospital to a final life-threatening incident. This fictional story is aimed primarily at student doctors to explore and discuss patient safety issues and to provide tools for dealing with problems.
Les TIC en Classe is an interactive DVD, produced by the Ministry of Education in France, to motivate teachers to use ICT in the classroom. The DVD shows with concrete examples and situations the contribution and advantages of digital services and tools to learning, to show the actual activities of students and to encourage teachers to use the many accompanying documents (on the DVD or available online) and extend the use of ICT and examples shown in the videos.
Evolution of life is a website offering original teaching materials about the evolution of life. Evolutionary concepts and evolutionary biology as a modern and relevant science are explained and shown through animation movies (the origin of life as seen by the water molecule Piccolina), documentaries (the effect of human actions on the evolution of animals) and simulations (the states of water, the movement of tectonic plates, ...). These teaching resources can be accessed by everyone who wishes to learn more about evolution.
Created in 2009 by the Italian primary school Direzione Didattica di Cassola, this project learned students of the 5th year how to create a digital cartoon and learned about the cinematographic and audiovisual language by using videos and cartoons in the Apple multimedia laboratory. They acquired multimedia producition skills on their own by working in the multimedia laboratory. This experience involves all subjects and it helps each student to develop his/her own abilities and to express themselves in different ways.
